Group Discussions - Do's and Don't s

  •        Do's of participating in a group discussion:
·      Keep a positive attitude throughout.
·      Mentally be prepared to talk on any given topic.
·      Initiate the discussion if you are familiar with the subject.
·      Listen to others for sometime if you don't know the subject well.
·      Support your point with some facts and figures.
·      Make short contribution from other members.
·      Give others a chance to speak.
·      Keep your eyes and ears open when others speak.
·      Try to read the expressions of others while they speak.
·      Start talking only when your brain is in gear.
·      Have a control on your words and voice.
·      Stay politely and pleasantly.
·      Express your views effectively.
·      Mind your English and body language.
·      Take care of your dress as well.

·      Remind the objective of the discussion when required.
·      Demonstrate all your leadership qualities.
·      Always be alert while you are in a group discussion.
